After the loss of my wonderful girl Cookie around 10 months ago. I have taken the plunge and on Friday 6th I received my two 9 week old black and white kittens. So I welcome you to say hello to Freddie & Buster. Freddie is the one with both black ears and very pink nose. Buster is the one with one white ear and his nose is pink & black. Here are a few photos of the little devils.

Those two look like they will keep you busy. Freddie looks like he is wearing a Batman mask.

Just stumbled upon this thread and had a read though.  I don't mind admitting I shed a tear for all your friends that have been lost over the years.  I've been there a few times, it never gets any easier.

We currently have 4.  Lorenz (Lorren), Sierpinski (Spinney), Mandelbrot (Delli) and Rusty.  Can you guess the one my wife named?

At the beginning of lockdown I made a cardboard tank for the cats.  This is now Delli's favourite place to sleep.

What a lovely puss do you brush puss each day as its long haired. My cookie was long haired but her coat was so fine she kept it under control.

Well 'Fozzy' doesn't like brushes and any attempt to groom here with one usually results in some blood spilling and it isn't hers I have found that using one of these grooming mitts works really well and she (most of the time) really enjoys it and for the occasions when she is not in the mood, offers quite good protection from the claws

Fozzy, that's a lovely name. I have seen those in pet stores.

Years ago I had two short haired burmese cats  Korky and Kizzy both liked being  vaccumed with the nozzle and would roll over to get the tummy done,  Both had a passion for POLO mints and would sit drooling if you had one, you had to give in and give them a piece. Never replaced them they were unique.

How nice remembering little things they did. Back in the 70's I had a long haired black & white cat called Corky named him after John Lennon's cat. He was into rabbits he used to kill them and they were bigger then him, many times he would jump out of the hedge opposite my home dragging them across the road

I suppose it's time to add our little Reeces into the mix here.  Reeces was once an unwilling outdoor cat who was left behind by former owners.  We took her in, and took care of her vaccinations and her ear mites and fleas, and helped her wounds heal from what was dealt her by other cats.  Her favorite place to nap is on our down-filled velvet comforter on our bed.  She's a little "nurse cat", in that if she perceives you are unwell she will lead you to the bedroom and meow at you until you climb in bed, then she will curl up upon you and purr until you fall asleep.  Or if you get sick in the bathroom, she'll lead another person to you to check on you. You can't be secretly sick here.
She has never climbed onto my work bench.  One time I saw her considering it, so I gently turned her towards me and looked her in the eye and said in my most serious voice "You must NOT!"  She looked back with wide eyes, and seemed to actually understand.  And never went up there, even to this day.  (That, and she finds the windowsill more interesting anyway.)  I've cleaned a lot of odd stuff out of old watches, but so far I've never had to remove one of her hairs.  She's a good little cat.

She is absolutely gorgeous. One of mine chewed one of my computer wires speakers today I now listen to music in good old fashioned mono.

She is indeed.  As I understand, she's a "Dilute Tortoiseshell", so with her fur being mottled dark brown with patches of orange-ish tan, the kids named her "Reeces" after the peanut butter candy.  But also because she's such a sweet little cat.  And seems quite sensitive to our feelings, as you say.  Seems to know when she is needed most.  Very bright I think, also.  She is even good friends with our corn snake, Nate.

I was looking for this topic but I could not find it, probably because it was on the first page. For my defense i tried to use my phone first, I am using my  computer now. She is Smudge, still learning the basics, but she is very careful and gentle so far.

I hope we found a solution which would work for both of us, the window sill next to my work bench:

and the King of the House Red, I had to wait with the photo as he likes to be outside, he has now mixed feelings of excitement and probably anger and jealousy. He joined us in March while Smudge joined us at the weekend. When they meet it sometimes ends up with cat fight, but we can see some acceptance there and the playfulness and excitement wins over selfishness more often now.

Aren’t they gorgeous, lovely colours. Are the pink boots yours?

My two have so far ripped holes in one of my net curtains and shredded the inside of one curtain in my sitting room, chewed through one speaker wire, unravelled a toilet roll. I love it, it’s so nice to watch them play.   Here they are after a good session of destruction.

I am hoping to see the same landscape in a few weeks time.  Lovely cats those of yours.  Pink wellies belong to daughter, but I might get a pair for myself as well. I had a great time with the Pink Wellies Metal Detecting group when I went out with them. Red ruined my chair so far and most of the charger cable and some string lights we have in the house, i had to use my soldering iron and heat shrinks to fix what was fixable.

Beautiful Frida is now visiting often. I am told that 3 colors females are called Calicot. The new neighbors have few more too on the style, all are always welcome to trespass.
