My Airspeed, an acrylic sandwich that houses a Miyota 8219 movement, The dial is laid our like a regulator. All in all a fun watch that I'm enjoying a lot.

Oh, I think I'll join the pocket watch set - I have several. Here's the one I wear with a nice silver and gold waistcoat when I'm playing at weddings: An Elgin "Father Time" Grade 388.

This is a 1897 Elgin Grade 116 B. W. Raymond I've been carrying for the last week or so.  It's a railroad grade during a time when stem sets were allowed to be used as railroad watches.  Several years later, that standard was changed to only allow lever sets in an effort to reduce miss-setting the watch during winding.

Someone is telling me that this watch is "JDM" because it shows a squared red 8 between "SAT" and "MON" plus other funny signs. I've also noticed that this microbrand is very rarely posted here, so here it is

That's a beautiful watch. How do you clean the non-shock protected jewels? I see it has two little screws, but when I removed the screws on my pocket watch, the thing didn't even budge.

You need to push the jewels out with a jewel pusher.

You will still need a jeweling tool to mount the jewel properly or a staking tool. So if you have one or the other or both you don't need the above tool.

It's made by CJRwatches out of Hong Kong.  One of those Kickstarter things, I don't know whether it's going into regular production or not.

man! i really like that. it's a very unusual design. i like how the subdials collide. i could own that one. the colors....everything is right.

Wearing a Seiko 5 Sportsmatic today. Probably with a 6619 Movt inside. Dial has two dimples where the dial feet are. Crown at 4 and date quickset at 3. Dolphin on back is pretty much gone.

i got a few dimpled dials. not much you can do about that i'm afraid.

that should have a quickset date with the push of the crown?

The date quickset is by the button at 3 o'clock. I believe this button is a replacement...from where I don't know as it doesn't look like any pusher I've seen before.

this is the inspiration for the Tissot Autolub movements... At least they had the good taste to keep it out of sight!
