Hi Noirrac.. no it doesn't have any markings at the 9 o'clock. It not a Japanese Speed timer.

My Pogue looks just like yours , not a speed timer , and has Water 70m Resist at the 9 position .

The samurai and I got to see the sun for a few moments today.

I've tried that too but mine won't get darker than this.

Very wet weather here in Kuala Lumpur over the last week.  Since my transport to work a motorcycle I've been using my newer water resistant watches.

Today it's my Seiko 7s36-01E0, or more commonly referred to by the cognoscenti as the 'Atlas'.

Too chunky for other days but fine for Friday's.

Finished fixing this Gruen Precision with a "Canada hockey dial" yesterday, maybe a common sight over the pond but the first time I've seen one.

Movement is a Gruen 03, 25 jewels automatic.

Not sure what you mean by your statement of , "  I ruined for myself by hyping it up to much."

Clean looking watch though .

I should have explained that better. Essentially before I got it, given the history (Scandinavian, aviation, design and horological) I built it up in my mind and it got worse as I serviced it, everything in the movement just seem to be designed so well. But when I put it on my wrist it just cant live up to that impossible image. :)

Onward to a watch that did the opposite. My first impressions of the Alpinist was small and dull. But it really grew on me and the dial/handset combination plays with the light just beautifully.

Picture reflects the Swedish weather quite well, grey and cold.

I've fallen for this mid-size Spinnaker. Fitted with the Seiko NH35 movement. Seeing as it's a "Keeper" I've corrected the beat errorbed7a6434d310909faaebcf335b12572.jpg2165bdc7b4874507d57c5bba376844c3.jpg4d8545fdba8a81c2af5f635007438a67.jpg

Great numbers--You've done a good job of regulating it. What does it look like Crown down as in the pic with you wearing?

Not bad. Its within chronometer specs.  Amplitude is just a touch low...Is it fully wound when you tested?

Not sure. Watch taken off wrist and given the Seiko shuffle for a minute or so and then left for about 10 minutes

Right...Seiko's are fully automatic for winding. Looks good then. Amplitude would probably go up with a day or two on an automatic winder.

What do you mean? The NH35  (4R35) posted has manual winding. It's cute with that thin bezel.

Hattori Nh35. I suspect Motion Tone are producing these movements for Seiko but couldn't confirm either way
