No, the exit pallet is not upside down. It is just badly sharpened. The other side has no slope at all. @watchweasol, see the picture I have drown in a hurry, it shows the shape of the pallets and the way they are made. The correct slope depends on the teeth count and diameter of the escape wheel and the lenght of pendulum, but You still are able to use the entrance pallet for reference. Of course, the pallets are not interchangeable, they are rather complementary. -
I don’t seem to have an issue with access or vision when oiling the escape jewel but I like how he manages to place less oil- that last time when its just a little dry…that would be handy -

See, the cylindre escapement is not free oscillating escapement. The balance is never free and friction in the place where the cylindre wheel teeth touch the cylinder is present all the time. You need to perfectly clean and lubricate at least the escapement parts. The best lubrication I have found for cylinders is Moebius 8200 grease. Just a little quantity on the traces which the teeth have left on the internal and outside surface of cylinder. The down side pivot looks bent. This is no good, but if the free oscillations test is OK, then probably the movement will be able to work. -

See, just do exactly what I have written. The pin wise must hold the cannon pinion, the cylindrical part of it. The pliers must hold the square head of the pin. Nothing is going to crimp.
