Amazing truely amazing if you think of the engineering alone how do you even start to design a machine that can cut 320 teeth into a wheel that's got a 2mm dia and be so precise its mindboggling.

Very interesting video. I always wondered how the tuning fork mechanism translated to rotational force. Also I have been watching TAOFLEDERMAUS videos for years, their videos are far to entertaining.

I couldn't squint my eyes tight enough to work on the indexing mechanism , so I got a stereo microscope with a camera to work on these puppies . Luckily I was able to pick one up at a better price then is posted in this picture .

Really good video. 

It is possible these days to make detail that fine with photo-resistive etching. But in 1960s that technology was not that good. These days we down to below nanometers of resolution in etching electronics.
