I took a few pictures of all my lathes. 13 in all, need to lighten the load eventually. Love the ones with the Countershafts: plenty of control.6e2e700f6d44d4fb297dd779e30f9cba.jpg

I've only got three, which now reinforces I don't really have a problem!

You're definitely 'normal' .  sad to say, well more semi embarrassed to say, I'm at I think 16 now - from a 5000 lb DSG to a 6mm watchmakers and all points in between.  The plan is to pare it down to 11.  I rationalize its not hoarding as there is little duplication, different sizes, different tooling and so on...well ok, there is some duplication, but they're all near and dear

Then my wife would catch the watches coming in:)

Oh come on, that's domestic subterfuge 101.  distract attention away from the bag of watches toward the shiney lathe under your arm,.  rinse and repeat.  :D

Very funny Mark. I have a number of large wall units that I used for music recording back in the day and converted 2 for watchmaking.2f6aa57a21ccd87f920e5f9bee3d3ec5.jpgf2012f6555c2cb8de416addc9b95b0e1.jpg

What is the collective term for many lathes? A legion of lathes perhaps? [emoji14]

I love. I was going to say a Murder of Lathes, because if I get one more my wife will kill me.
