Most of my life I have been fascinated with watches.  A couple of years ago I really became interested in repairing watches.  I am very much an amateur and have made my fair share of mistakes, but I enjoy it none the less.  I have replaced movements, batteries, and done some deep cleaning.  I have not yet broken down a movement completely yet, but it is on my to do list.

I have a wife, daughter, and a full time job so I don't get to spend as much time as I would like working on my watch projects.

So that's a little bit about me.  Happy to be a part of this forum.

Welcome to the forum.

I know what it is like to not have enough time. Full-time job here as well and a burgeoning collection of clocks that need work. And then I bought a pocket watch for myself. 🙂

You'll find the time somewhere. They are fascinating things.

Welcome to our forum!  I can sympathize with you, SmithdSC.  I am an insurance salesman, which takes care of having a steady and predictable income.  And when I am very busy with that, the watch work can be difficult to fit in.  It's a big of a juggling act at times.  But if I had to retire from only one of the two, I'd stay with the watches.
