Bent Hair Spring

I bent the hair spring attempting to turn the hair spring collet to line up the roller jewel with the pallet fork. Manipulated it and this was the end result. I had to pat myself on the back.

Not easy sorting out hairsprings. Just be very careful the next time you learn by making mistakes. Well done in managing something that can very fiddly.

I got a hairspring tangled on the balance cock once - no idea how I did it. It happened in a millisecond but took almost an hour to sort out.

Well done.  I've murdered one hairspring but brought others back from the dead.  It's one of the more challanging skills to master but probably the most rewarding too.
