Swatch Anyone ??

Aloha , I don't know what came over me but I just picked up 2 Swatch Watches .

One NOS from 1993 , new in box , 22 jeweled ETA Movement , and another Vintage , Also ETA and just serviced .

 

Here's the NIB "Blue Chip" , ...... $33   ...   I like it   :)

 

 

 

And heres the just serviced Vintage,..... $17

Nice I have never been a lover of swatches but those are really nice. Hopefully they do not need spares.

Hi clockboy , I can agree that a Swatch never appealed to me either . I always thought they looked like something Peter Max would design . I guess what appealed to me was the fact that they ARE so different from anything else I have collected and worked on , the Swatch group is so impressive with their brands and movements , ETA for example , and I got a vintage watch for less then the offered price .

 

Bottom line for me is now that I have one , I like it . Now I can get back to the serious business of collecting real watches .

Have three old Swatch watches . Just like the watch second watch you serviced . BTW .Does swatch stand for swiss watch? S watch?

My three swatch watches are stored without battery. Because they are so loud .They tick very loud so i can't sleep .

Well I quite like the first one, looks ok.

I have one Swatch myself. It was a present from a company when they merged with (took over) the company I worked for.

Still got the watch, sadly I can't say the same about the job.

Just kidding... I actually have ONE swatch in my collection and it's a bubble domed  aluminum diving watch. I wear it when I go to the beach (yes, I wear a watch to the beach). Well they movements are legit (ETA)--I say wear them well!
