Hello everyone, Hello everyone, Just reassembling this rather lovely movement… my question is this: Can anybody suggest a lubrication protocol for the Auto work on this? I also feel that reassembly of the reduction wheel components will be tricky.. any of you familiar? Also, what is the washer like component?I can’t remember noticing it on disassembly! thanks! tonyG

That is an Elgin Grade 152. Not a success story! Tried to repivot 4th wheel. Fail. On the hunt for a replacement. -
This seems a bit short. Maybe residual moisture... your drying chamber's heater is working properly, I assume?

This is possible to do, but also can be quite difficult. When I have done it, you have to spread the top of the brass tube to the hand with a staking set. Then you will most likely need to repaint the hand. Its often easier to buy replacement hands, and like stated above, on chronographs the hands are generally viewed as consumables at service.
