  1. Looks like a hairspring issue. It might be a trick of the light but something looks wrong here.

  2. While browsing the internet I have come across this. Here is a photo of a clock mainspring winder. This is the same as I had. It has different size arbors to fit the size spring that you need to remove or fit. Come in a nice case to keep it safe and altogether. Look after it and it will last you a liftime.

  5. Did you oil the hairspring pivot when you re-assembled? Looks like the first two coils are touching, which could be due to fouling: either oil or dirt.....take the hairspring out and clean it again in Naptha. Also, demagnetize. J

  6. This is what I use now. https://www.cousinsuk.com/product/trays-watch-disassembly-assembly Once you have got a set you will buy more. They stack so depending on what type of watch you are working on you may use 1, 2 or 3 trays or more. I do feel these are the best for storing disassembled watches, especially if you have several on the go as they stack whilst waiting on parts to arrive.
