Hi everyone,

Joining as a new member from the sunny island of Cyprus. I am a watch lover with a passion in scale model cars also. Have been learning about watchmaking for some time, just as a hobby.

I have a Sherline lathe and mill, initially used it for model making but I guess they can be useful for watches. I have started last year designing my own bronze diver watch, using a quartz ETA movement. This is a personal project that would probably take a lot of time to complete. Other than that I am learning to maintain some vintage clocks I got from my in laws.

Regards,
DanP

welcome to the forum.  are you familiar with "silicone bronze" ?  vin

Not really. In fact the supplier I get my metals from doesn't even know the type of bronze it sells. They have a single variety and don't know if it is bronze or brass :)
