I have filled in the contact form and hope to get in touch with the owner.

Reading through the About document - this looks like a great initiative and I would be keen to contribute to a site that is open source and contains copyright free content.

Imagine if we had a site where you could submit a photo of your movement and it could identify it for you and tell you all about it.  Or one where you specify the movement you are working on and the part you need and it will tell you all the other movements that used the same part?

Let us know what you hear.  We could submit higher resolution photos of movements as well as more views.  For example, ranfft only showed one view of an automatic train side.  Half of the view is blocked by the oscillating weight.  A picture without the weight would be nice.  I would be more than happy to contribute.

I have been out of the loop here, during America's Medicare-Annual-Election-Period.  I cannot believe we have lost Roland Ranfft.  I'd heard of him and his database before I'd even encountered this forrum.  I am very sad to learn of his passing now.  I wish I'd found time to check back in here earlier.  I wish I'd been able to thank him for all his contributions to our craft.

No search functions seem to work or single page loads. All i can do is to load all the pages and scroll through to find a calibre.

Thanks for finding this. Even though the search function doesn't work, I find using the "all" function quite acceptable.

I have also been using the ranfft.org site as well, however I find the search function somewhat clunky. Hopefully the internet archive site will stay on-line indefinitely.

The search function doesn't work at all. And if I list "All", it only lists as far as Junghans J35

I just checked and I can search for and find the J35 on that page. What is the date of the archive you are using (I checked on the Feb 22, 2020 archive)? The page also takes a few seconds to fully load.

Right, the search function doesn’t work. Using the All pages function does, but takes some time to load.
