Wheels behaving badly.

Anyone any idea what can cause this problem? I have changed the pallets and checked no wheel or pinion teeth are missing. Happy New Year to all, and thank you for your help this last year.

I should check all the wheels individially for mashin problems due to worn pivot holes and pinions as somthing is slipping under power. Dismantle the watch again and check every wheel with its neighbour as the depthing is out between wheel and pinion.

Check if the fork to escape wheel flutters, the bad guy could be teeth of escape wheel, otherwise its back to usual faults namely  pinion leaves, gear teeth, excessive side shake  between neighboring gears even bent arbour or worn jewel holes.

Judging by the vid, its most likely bad pinion leaves or gear teeth.

 If it is a partial flutter, I mean pallet misses one or two escape teeth,  you may get by with increasing the lock by moving the pallet jewel closer to the escape teeth.

A wheel slipping on it's pinion ?

If you watch th balance rim when it slips there is no discernable variation in the oscillation so to deduce from that a train.bearing/meshing problem.

That is not a video, but an animated GIF which the OP made instead of uploading to Youtube  an high frame rate video with sound and posting the link. That would have allowed a better guess about what's going on.

The other thing missing is a timegrapher picture. If the OP doesn't have one, and he is serious about repairing movements, he should definitely get one, or an equivalent application and suitable microphone.
