I would think this is a good one, it is slighly too good to be a fake it even has the inertia blocks on the balance so I would guess this is a 70's Rolex 1520 movement, but I could be wrong. Ask for more pictures of the movement if you can.

Rolex 1520

at the link below is pictures the 1520 movement.

then it may just be the picture but the dial looks fuzzy not as sharp as I would expect. then I agree it really would be nice to have a few more pictures of the movement especially with the weight rotated in a couple of different positions so we could see all of the movement. Especially over the balance wheel.

Yes both the Air-King and the Submariner used the 1520 movement. Read the last article, those boys are getting better but as he points out a 1560 isn't quite right.
The Air-King is my favourite of these two.

It certainly looks genuine you can always ask for its serial number and model number which are normally found in between the lugs. This will give its date of manufacture and Rolex will have where it was originally purchased from. IE my submariner was originally purchased in Singapore.

Why only the mov.t should be fake and not the whole? If you are asked a low price (you didn't say but there is no shame in saying this these gi for various thousands) that confirms it is fake. If asked an high price, no papers, no access to independent evaluation by a no reputation seller just run, you would risk being the victim of fraud, not just an enabler of counterfeiting.

Shouldn't it have a Breguet overcoil and Micro-stella adjustment screws on the balance? The picture of the movement shows a regular balance with regulator pins.
