wow! great job! I'm hoping to get to your level one day. -
Looks to me like a front loader and you need to split the bezel off at the seam above your thumb.

Hello Gentleman, Anyone ever work on this watch before? I've been enjoying this hobby for a while now and have had some decent results. Am progressing nicely to more and more complicated movements, but man, for the life of me, I can not figure out how to remove this ETA 7750 from the ring around it. I've successfully removed the movement and its holder from its outer carbon fiber case, but cannot remove it further. I've removed both pushers and the stem and it, frustratingly, doesn't simply drop out when inverted. It also doesn't rotate from side to side within the outer movement holder.. it is stuck fast. I'm a little embarrassed honestly. The red arrow points to a line in the movement holder, but it is seemingly one piece and not separable there. I guess they just needed to reduce some outer diameter there. The ends of the minute and chronograph hand extend over the minute marking ring so would that mean that that minute marking ring is part of the dial attached to the movement? I guess I'm asking where does the dial end? Any point in the right direction would be most welcome. I've never worked on this movement before and I am chomping at the bit to do so. It represents the next challenge in my progression. But obviously cant start until I remove it safely and I'm stumped! -

Donor movement received. Now waiting for a proper & calm time slot to perform the transplant. -

Hi Joe, I mean the situation when the escapement can be unlocked when pallet fork is pressed as the guard pin to touch the guard roller. This will be possible if the guard pin is short or the depthing of the escapement is not deep enough. The pallet fork was replaced, but I don't think it was adjusted to work correctly with this movement. Of course, if there is defect on the guard roller, it also can lead to such problem.
