hello everyone, I am a Gem Setter, engraver and a jeweller and have always been fascinated with the watch making trade. My dream is to make my own watch and strap in 18 carat yellow gold with a mechanical movement, engraved and set with gemstones or diamonds.

I have a few pocket watches and an old Elgin pocket which I am cleaning and repairing. I have stripped it right down and need to replace the mainspring as it is broken.

I just love learning all the names of the different parts of watches...and am looking forward to learning from this forum.
