I put away the fancy stuff and pulled out this Citizen "Orca" Eco-Drive Titanium watch for today . This has to be the lightest watch I have . And does it ever glow in the dark .
I apprenticed with a very fine piano technician for a number of years. There were always 2 or 3 other apprentices in the shop but he always was giving me heck for something; never the others. So I asked him, "Why do you always get upset with me and never the others." He just smiled and said, "It doesn't do any good to get upset with them."
Hi Gareth, these movements are not produced anymore, yo your best chance is to search for a spare donor watch on ebay that will not cost an arm and a leg. I do have some spares, but I do not sell them since I use them for the watches I service for my customers, sorry.
If you look on our resources links you will find lots of links to watch suppliers. here you are.

Actually my befuddled brain got that wrong, the "Timemaster" actually has a Baumgartner 866(digital) in it. It shows reasonable accuracy of around -10 to +15 sec per day, but since it is a slight struggle to even read the minutes on it, and it has no second hand, accuracy is probably not too important on this watch.
Casual Black Friday!
Not far from Longines OLMA were thinking of a clean crisp design too, a tribune to the 50's.
The result was a pimped up version of an 50's OLMA. Long before pimp up my car they began to hammer on a ST96 movement and behold.. (Now it is time for you to put on your sunglasses!)
Here is the result. (Just for fun I added the crystal back to it).
Happy Thanksgiving all you watch loving' Turkeys.....
Today I chose to wear a Tag Here Carrera caliber 16 . This model uses the Valjoux / ETA 7750 movement .
This just happened to be the first watch I worked on with a 7750 . I opened the back of the watch when I first got it because the rotor would spin when it was hand wound , and I wanted to clean and lubricate the automatic assembly .
Well , a part of the chronograph popped out and I had no Idea where it came from . I was sweating bullets , but I soon found out how much info is available for this caliber . Especially ETA's Swiss Lab walk thru tutorial for this and other models .
This version has the likeness of race car driver Juan Manual Fangio featured on the case back .
I can honestly say that this is one of the best feeling watches on the wrist that I own . It's one of those "You know it when you feel it " Pleasures .
The Watch :
Found this for lubing a cal1154. Probably using the oils shown in similar positions on an older watch would be OK. I used these for a Cal-552 I did a year or so ago and it still going great. I used Moebius HP1500 to replace D5.
