Ingersoll Terrier, radiolite

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know or have anything on the ingersoll Terrier wristwatch, radiolite.

I've searched everywhere and can find nothing at all, and I've searched and searched.

It's just I have a box but no watch, I even have history with the box.

So any help would be much appreciated.

Hi I take it by the $2.50 proce tag its an American built watch ,   Try contacting the AWCCI or the NAWCC sites they are more likley co have come across them.  Ingersoll Rand  before they became ingersoll then teamed up with Smiths in the UK as the Anglo Celtic clock co so there were many changes.   good luck on the hunt.

Masters of contemptuous greed. Try offering $20 for an answer with all vowels stripped?

Oh.

No way! Are you sure that isn't the membership fee and someone's desperate for you to join?

I thought it was supposed to be called AWCI? American watch and clockmakers Institute did they had another C to that?

There rather interesting Association at one time well respected anyone that was a watchmaker should belong financially they were set for life. They had chapters all across the US and then they simplistically imploded. They're just a shell of themselves now all the money's gone nobody knows where the money went. Although they do have their nifty certificate get that you're guaranteed the Rolex parts 08 no you're not and Rolex terminated that is a requirement to get a parts account anyway can say got annoyed with all the stupidity.

About the only thing they have left the value is have a really nice PDF library if you were a member.

Wishful thinking? A very long time ago it used to be $40 then it started going up and up and up. I really wish I had bought the lifetime membership I think is $400 a very long time ago then I would've been happy with all the stupidity because I would be paying any more money to the Association so I dropped out a long time ago but $40

Then because curious it's a bargain it's only $150 a year but you to get the magazine from hundred

the better place to go would be nawcc national Association of watch and clock collectors. They do have a research division I don't know if they charge outside people a fee it probably wouldn't be $40 I think a better thing to do would be just to go to the link I have below and ask on the message board.

Then if you can find somebody who was a member they might be kind and do a search for you? They have a publication comes out several times a year going back to the beginning of time. The only problem is Ingersoll gets a heck of a lot of entries because this was basically the dollar watch their really famous for that so like 99.9% of all the entries have the do with dollar watch not seeing anything that says the word wristwatch. But if it's a bigger article it's probably in there somewhere. There must be about 60 listings of Ingersoll which means I'm not going to look at all of them for you and as I said if you toss in the Lord Terrier nothing so the best thing to do is go to the message board and ask there that's free it's free to join

Hi

I actually own an Ingersoll Terrier.Like you I could never find any advertisement or reference to a Terrier.I had the watch serviced a few years ago and the guy who overhauled it(now retired)used to work for Ingersoll. He to said he had never seen one.The watch runs beautifully and although some of the plating has come off the case,it is still in good overall condition. It does look very similar to the Ingersoll Valliant but of course has Terrier on the dial.If you want pictures of it,I can always email  some to you.

regards

Andy.

    • if you're trying to keep track of conversations scattered all over the message board emails are an absolute must.   looking at the bell icon on the top of the page versus the emails today it looks like I got the correct amount of emails. So making some minor change based on the one of the images up above I started getting notifications again. But at times I still have a suspicion that something isn't quite right. I have some feeling that the message board may delay sending emails until something so seems to be a long delay between when you get your emails just a weird feeling things aren't quite right oh  and then even though I do seem to be getting emails I no longer get notifications of personal messages I don't find that out until I arrived at the message board where I'm pretty sure I used to get notifications of those two. So something is definitely changed on the message board. then for everyone not getting emails you do want to check your spam folder. I have found that sometimes were open up an email the system I use warns me that it thinks the email is evil and bad and I have no idea why he thinks some of the emails are and some are not. But this is actually the program I use not the email system which also has a mind of its own as to what it considers spam so you should always check your spam folder.
