No. To mesh with a pinion (rack and gear arrangement) you need a profile that matches to a regular spur gear. Straight teeth in case of clocks, or involute for more recent mechanics.

Its a gravity clock. g by theProbaby a Warmink (dutch)    the weight of the clock on the rack provides the power and the pendulum operates the escapement as normal. When the clock reaches the botton of the rack its pushed upwards to the top and the whole cycle starts again.  Quite ingenious,  like the rolling incline plane clock very clever.
