Hello! I've been using/reading on this forum for years, but not been active, sort of speak..

So, im 35 years of age, from/living in Norway with my lady and to children.

My father being a watchmaker for over 40 years, i've been "in to" watches from an early age. Worked for some time with my father, then working mostly on wall clocks.

This forum has given me alot of answers over the years, thanks 🙂

Welcome to the forum Marmac.

I am starting out by working on clocks, but I am 59.

Hi Michael

Its never to late to start something. I think clocks is a good place to start. Picking apart and reassamble, oiling etc the clocks will give good knowlegde on the workings of a mechanical movement. At least i gave me a lot of base experience. Its a lot of different nice movements to work with on clock. From regular wall clocks with "normal" chimes to ships clocks with different chime sequence. i had a lot of fun (and frustration, specially with some ships clocks) working with clocks.

Good luck Michael 🙂
