The simplest option is placing a glass tumbler upside down on it.

Or a larger cover if it's a movement and spread out parts.

Anything that will cover and seal reasonably well to prevent dust selling on it.

No problem, a tumbler is good as they're heavy enough that they're unlikely to get knocked or blown by a gust of wind.

Especially when you fill it with whiskey. :D

But in seriousness it is a generally accepted practice to use a shirt glass shut as a whiskey tumbler to cover the movement if you haven't bought a domed cover to keep the dust off.
