  3. Guido, beware, the input resistance of that circuit (1 k) is too low for a piezo disc! With a bit electronic knowledge much can be adapted at this standard design. E.g. plug in a more modern OP replacing that grandfather of IC and it will work at 2V and lower. Frank

  4. Yes, so long as neither the input (not likely) nor output signal is more than about 2V peak-to-peak.

  6. Have a look at this thread, it may help you.

  7. On assembly after cleaning, you need to use the correct lubrication for that type of movement. Never oil the pallet pivots. You cannot expect the movement to function correctly without lubrication.

  8. This profile is how escapement teeth usually look. You should check the profile with other teeth on the wheel. If all look the same, they are alright. All teeth having got damaged by the screw is highly unlikely and damaged exactly the same? No. Sir Power expectedly gets to escape wheel. Remove the fork to see it dose.while out check the pallet jewels, the impact could have caused pallet jewels disallignment and make sure the impulse jewel is still hanging there. Please better describe the symptoms so advices be symptom_cause based. Regards joe

  9. The gain of that circuit is only about 100 (40dB), which probably won't be adequate, and despite what the manual says, it won't run off of 3V. At 3V, the input signal is biased at 1.5V, which is of course only 1.5V below the chip's supply voltage, a point above which it will not operate. Put another way, there is zero headroom if operated at 3V. The only thing it will amplify without severe distortion is total silence.

  10. well, this post inspired me to take another approach at a full Timex tear down and rebuild. " Oh right they are riveted together" anyway.... I found that leaving in the temporary stem was a big help. Also when I was about to place the back plate back on I turned the movement as you see in the pic. This allowed me to drop in in at a 45 degree angle with ease. WIth just a slight lift of the pallet fork with that tool front right, the plate slipped right on. BTW, the reason I took this one apart was to replace the mainspring. so far she is running happy.

  13. It seems that the Auto is not functioning correctly. I used to get this issue until I started using 8951, Fixodrop (Epilame) for the reversing wheels and auto parts. I also have a rotary watch tester that I run auto's on for 48 hours just to double check all is OK. I believe Eta recommend another solution for their reversing wheels but sorry can not remember it's name.
