  2. Jules Borel lists the crown here http://cgi.julesborel.com/cgi-bin/matcgi2?ref=OME_CS^511.184, which is indeed a hermetic crown so the case tube is correct. They have the crown, as does Cousins https://www.cousinsuk.com/product/omega-hermetic-crowns-03mm-over?code=32001SX Part number is 32001, so you may find elsewhere like ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-ORIGINAL-OMEGA-YELLOW-Crown-32001-SW114-Crown-3-45mm-Diameter-/201453069536

  3. In most cases you should be able to work out the correct crown from the case reference inside the caseback. In some countries, Omega used local case manufactureres to avoid import duties which can mean this won’t work, but its a good place to start.

  4. The bezel is the metal ring that sits on top of the watchcase and holds the crystal. In your picture it is the portion outlined in yellow. The red line is where you should fit a razor or some suitably thin and sturdy object to pry the bezel/crystal away from the case. It should lift fairly easily, and it will be a quick matter to get it off once it does.

  5. Am I right in saying that the signed crown is a dust-proof crown? (has a spring loaded collar) If so they're only meant to be fitted to cases without case tubes, just a hole. I couldn't tell you how the case is supposed to be or where to get the right crown, but unless i miss my mark the crown on the left is completely unsuitable, you'd have to remove the case tube, which looks to be very wide, leaving a hole much larger than the dustproof collar can cover.

  7. I've gotten my watch I stripped it down last night. Cleaned. Waiting for re-assembly. The dial is pristine and beautiful! I really love the Slava dials. Mine is a 2414 date movement. Twin Barrel. It had stopped running because the dial set screw had fallen into the movement! Springs nearly flew across the room from the tension.

  8. I can report the issue has now been resolved although not conclusive. I ordered a new movement which is supplied with a new Piezo disc. I found if you look closely the disc has some heat glue already attached to it's underside I therefore removed the old disc cleaned and attached the new disc applying a tiny amount of heat. The dots are heat glue Heat being applied. However maybe I applied too much heat or the disc was damaged when applying a little force,I don,t know BUT it did not work. I had a delivery of 50 Piezo discs fro China that come surrounded by a brass disc. I applied a little heat to remove the disc and attached it again using conductive glue. Conductive glue used. However this did not work either. So I removed & attached the whole disc + it's surrounding brass disc with the conductive glue & yippee it now works. I have read that this style of Piezo does not need conductive glue but it now works. I am not going go play any more but is a bit of mystery why the single disc did not work. Disc attached to was back
