Petrolhead turned watch nerd.

Recommended Posts

A couple of years ago my wife broke her ankle so I was unable to spand as much time as I'd like wrenching on my car collection, which is stored some miles from home. I'd been collecting old Soviet watches for a bit, and the prospect of watchmaking as a 'desktop' version of the car hobby was very appealing. i picked up a kit that was basically a 'build your own modded Saiko' and have done several builds along those lines, but it's time to start 'rebuilding engines' as it were.

I had a similar path to watchmaking. Huge car guy, got in a bad wreck in something old without any sort of safety equipment, and found my way here during the pandemic. I've slowly found my way back to cars as well (more modern ones with safety equipment), and now it's just about the best of both worlds!
