Hi I'm Roger,

I'm a retired mechanical engineer and have an amature interest in watch repair which I have carried out for family and friends.

I have joined to improve my knowledge of watches and watch repair and hopefully when needed  acquire help and advise from other members.

Hello  @ken56Hello and welcome to the forum.  (Rabbit hole)   Enjoy.

regarding the omega   Ticking no hand movement, one would think it’s in the region of the canon pinion / hour wheel area, not forgetting the center wheel.  The omega is not the best of training watches as they are finely built and easily damaged. If this is your first adventure I would advise getting a cheap working watch to practise on before having a go at the omega so as to gather the skills. I assume you already have sufficient tools for the job in your possession.

By the way what caliber is the omega and can you pot some oic5ures of the movement please
