Nah mate, it wasn't stupid at all, if you dont know you dont know and if you dont ask you might never know.

But anyways, that was kinda obvious 😉

You need a truing caliper tool, see Bergeon 1883-04 tool.

That tool looks like an instrument of torture from the time of the Spanish Inquisition. I'll google about this tool, thanks !

That's expensive one actually, may be you know cheaper copies of this tool?

You can pick old good quality pre owned ones for a fraction of that. Just ask to see the condition of the nibs, ideally with both truing and poising sets of nibs, the truing one have holes in the sides and concave ends to accept the conical portion of the staff pivot.

Doesn't hurt to think next level, you already need a pair of calipers to check if the wheel is true. You could easily pick up a pair for 20 - 30 quid, I've paid much less for a pair.

5 min/day when amplitude is 280 degr is not sticky hairspring. Can we see good picture of the hairspring? What is the regulator position? Is the hairspring original to the balance, or replaced from another one?

Hi, as I remember the problem was in the hairspring position. It was slightly not parallel to the balance cock. That what my boss told me about it

We need to know if the regulator is set to the 'minimum' and still the watch is faster than normal. When I say regulator 'to the minimum', I don't mean the fine regulation screwis turned to the minimum, but the regulator  turned back right to the stud holder. That's why I asked for a photo.

I'll be able to make a photo tomorrow only

Hello everyone, do you know is there any difference between pallet fork and escapement wheel for eta 2846 (21.600) and 2824 (28.800) ?

According to the Jules Borel interchange site they're not interchangeable, in fact the 2846 pallet fork and escape wheel appear to be unique to that caliber.

Gosh, that could be the reason for all my sufferings. Can you please share link for this site please ?

Try here.

You first select the maker, then the caliber, then the part. It will then show you all the other calibers that use that same part.

I tried it both ways, first checking the 2824 parts which turn out to be common to a lot of other calibers, but not the 2846. Then I tried the 2846 and it seems that there are no other calibers that use those parts, so I guess they are uniquie to the 2846.

Greetings everyone. This piece of junk is now showing me different indications in different  positions. I'm in one step to crash this mechanism. Please help 😄

If you know what can cause such problem, so please let me know

DD amplitude is a bit lower than DU, so you might want to clean the balance jewel on the mainplate.

When vertical, you are losing about 40° amplitude, which is expected, but the line is pretty flat.

So what is your problem ?

The real test is not the timegrapher, but wearing it for several days.
