Jaeger Le Coulter 467/1 Pocket Watch

Recommended Posts

Well in good working condition and complete with casing and reasonable dial it would fetch a fair price similar to a good quality entry level wristwatch of today. Value for it in broken condition is dependant on what someone is willing to pay.

Well if it helps i had six of the 467-2 military pocket watches, they all sold to collectors from £200 to £450 ( grade & condition worst to best ). Thats just my experience with the 467-2's, given the 467-1 is rarer it could go for more. :)

THE JLC GSTP pocket watches tend to go for £100-150 on the bay when spares or repair, good movements £250-ish

The cases are often heavily brassed (the JLC plating on some of their military watches seems poor quality, the WWW's are renowned for brassing too)

The dials are often covered in blisters, I'm not sure if this is due to the dial paint lifting or the dial base metal corroding.

I think these pocket watches hold a good price as they are a prime candidate for a Marriage conversion.

I do like the black dial! Looks well worn and I would probably lume the hands. Is that the varnish that is crinkling (lack of better adjective)I might would send it off to have the dial refinished.

Nice!

The dial looks like it has been relumed? Someone has relumed the hands and the 12-3-6-9 in a darker lume color . And the other number in a whiter shade. And what up with the subdial . It looks like a watertransfer paper. The movement is looking nice and clean.
