  2. Hi Everyone! I have a Marvin watch that I need to work on. It looks like an ETA 2365 based on my research from Ranftt. However, I cannot find a spec sheet on the 2365. I checked Cousins but no luck. Anyone have any idea on where else to look? Thanks as always and keep ticking! Gary Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Anil, If I’m not mistaken Tissot still provides time pieces for officers of the IDF today. I ran across a newer one for around $4,000. A chronograph as I recall, never worn. Gary Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Very nice piece Anil! I think it states, and my Hebrew is rusty, “ In recognition of the 25 years of service in the IDF” Keep posting I would like to see the movement and work you complete later! Gary Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. I’m curious as to how this plays out? Like a fantastic novel. Could the pallet fork bridge or the escape wheel bridge be warped or bent? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Hi Everyone! I have a question about a crown screw. I have never worked on a movement with a crown screw like the one in the photo. Is this going to require a special tool? Since I don't have the movement in hand it makes it difficult to tell but I thought someone could share their insight, please ? Thanks in advance ! Gary Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  16. I use Moebius 9504 for some but depends on the part function. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Hi Everyone, I found it. AS 636. Overnight in the bench it has dropped to+37 - +\- 16 and BE 0.1 and 291 I’ve demagnetised and still sporadic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Hi Everyone, I am working on an old West End Secundas. I haven stripped it three times and reassembled but still cannot regulate it to a decent rhythm. I haven't found any issues but it did come with a new alloy mainspring. My guess is someone tried to work on it and put it in there. It is erratic will. Level out from -3 secs to -61. Then +47 to -3. As a last attempt I want to try a blue steel mainspring. However, I'm open for suggestions. amplitude is 251-289. BE is .5 With D/U or D/D. I cannot find am movement number to locate a new mainspring? Could anyone identify the one below? Not my watch but I borrowed the photo. Thanks for everything! Cheers, Gary Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  20. I have a regular sized desk. Glass desk at that, however, what has worked for me was my chair is hydraulic and I can lower comfortably as if I'm sitting at a bench. Not optimal but works for me and I'm about 5'11" tall. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  22. Not yet but I'm. A bit shiny at this hour! Lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Hi Everyone! While I often times share my failures I am not as quick to share my successes! I have been limited in time but I have tried to dedicate a few hours to watches. It makes me happy! Below is my first attempt at a set of hands on an old Coleman beater pocket watch. I have to say getting the ratios correct and balanced is always going to be a challenge but I’m pleased with the results! in the lightlight exposure 1 minute lights off and I didn’t like the chapters yet, only the hands. I’m satisfied! Thanks everyone! Gary Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. If they are too tight this will not work but on most cases this little inexpensive tool is amazing! https://www.amazon.com/Friction-Ball-Watch-Case-Opener/dp/B0058EDAUA I usually purchase the less expensive ones on eBay! I keep a couple at all times . Good luck! Gary Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. Looks like a keeper and given the years and history in good shape! Service and tidy? Gary Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
