Hi Everyone,

I'm happy to join the community as a new hobbyist watchmaker.

This forum has already help me a lot but this time I didn't find the answer to my question so here I am.

I am servicing a Sellita SW200-1. I ordered a new barrel complete. Here is my question to you guys : does it need any kind of lubrication ? I believe that the mainspring is lubricated from factory but should I apply breaking on the barrel ?

Thank you for your introduction and welcome to this friendly forum.
We all look forward to your contributions and continued involvement.  
 

If it is a complete unit you don't need to open it. It will have the correct lubrication all done at the factory.
