Seiko 7009A movement in a NH35 case?

Recommended Posts

Good day,

I have a Seiko 7009A watch with a 'beyond repair' case, lug is broken and deep gouges out of the case front and back. However, the movement and dial/hands seem to be in good shape. I was thinking of getting an aftermarket NH35 case to resurrect the watch rather than putting a perfectly working movement into the donor pile. Before I open my wallet, does anyone have any experience in putting a 7009A in a NH35 case, they appear to be visually comparable, but just wondered if anyone had any real-world experience.or advice?
