Greetings, watch guys!

I've always enjoyed watches and clocks.  I've always enjoyed fixing things.  Except electronics - I can never figure out how to get the magic smoke to go back in.

I bought a couple of dead pocket watches to disassemble and reassemble.  That worked.  I've modded a few watches, and that went acceptably well.  I've regulated a few watches, and that went well.  Now it seems like time to start getting deeper.  Right now, I'm trying to accumulate old Seiko movements to experiment with since there seem to be a lot of them and lots of information around.

I plan to lurk more than post or ask questions.  I'd guess most of my questions at this stage have been answered before, so I'll look for that.  I hope some day to be able to answer a question.

I look forward to reading lots here and trying to apply it at home.

Another fellow Ozark American?  Greetings and good luck with your studies.  It's a great way to drain off excess cash!  I took Mark's course and highly recommend it.

Welcome to this great group!

You bet!  The cold just arrived along with the darkness, so inside pursuits sound good.

And the cash drain has already started.  I'll be looking into the course.
