I’m sure there is a thread on here about auto oilers. I think some said they were very good for getting into fiddly places. Myself I’ve never used such things. You could do a search and see what comes up.

I’ve tried all sorts of things and I have drawn a blank each time.  The search facility on here is very poor. Try google.

Those oilers are not meant for working on watches - I tried them myself because of the price but they are not right for the job, lacking precision and leaking a lot. They may be alright for working on larger machinery.

Automatic oilers are one of those things that some use, some don't. They are certainly not essential, but some people find them useful for specific jobs.
