Very strange, i started to think for punching holes in a leather watch strap , but mine is also 1/4 inch drill bit. This is my bike jacket so maybe correct. -

Any idea how I can find an acrylic crystal for this Longines or what the shape is called? dimensions 27.1 x 30.0 -
Not sure how well it shows on the picture, but a little blob of epoxy has formed a new pivot point for the escape wheel. I'll let it cure for 24 hours and then clean and reassemble the movement. It might work, don't know how long it'll last but hopefully long enough for me to be able to write "Daniels - London" on the dial and sell it for megabucks 🤣

It started well. Got the clip off, cleaned in B-dip, bit of grease, then ping 😫. Lost the clip trying to refit it. I'll get a replacement from eBay.

I used Google Lens on the pic and it suggested "motorcyle belt punch". And googling pics of that does show very similar tools. The end on mine is sharp, and does look suitable for punching holes in leather. I've no idea what belts on motorcyles would need piercing? The hole is about 1/4", so I cannot see a use in watchmaking. So, why have we both found one in a collection of watchmaking tools?
