Hi all

I've been away for a while but I just got back to my 2836 today and finished putting it all together and it doesn't want to work.

Any suggestions? It works fine without reassembly of the date/time wheels and the automatic assembly.

I would start by assembling the date/time parts bit by bit, that's if you can't see what the problem is. A process of elimination is required.

Fine as with full amplitude and regular pattern? If not, it's pointless to blame auto winding or calendar.

I found a small piece of red thread under the barrel. There was also some white fluffy stuff in the movement. I have no idea how it got in there but it works fine now.

Thank you. It was probably my fault all along though...LOL

Happens to us all and the fact is you sorted the problem so pat yourself on the back.

How many people can or do this sort of work I am a beginner compared to you so well done Sir.

Well, thank you for the cudos; they are welcome even if they are undeserved. You're right about this being work that most people have little if any knowledge of; a whole new world awaits...LOL
