Hi

I need to clean the bottom plate - specifically where I crammed in Rodico where I shouldn't have on the cap jewel assembly - as well as the cap jewels and Novodiac spring.

After cleaning, should I oil all the wheel train jewels with 9010 as well as the flat side of the cap jewel before reassembly?

Thank you muchly for your expertise...

Hi Dave, this will let you see what oils should be used. There are symbols at each point if lubrication and a list if what these lubricants are at the top left of the chart.

Geo, thanks a lot, that is perfect.

At my age you can't trust the memory and it's always good to have a record to refer to.  :D

Much appreciated, Mike

Thank you for putting it in GD's. For some reason they restrict access to the ETA 6497 site. No idea why - it's not exactly step by step directions for making something nefarious.

I find that trying to follow the funny droplets on the drawing while reassembly is too cumbersome, and causes too much switching from an oiler to another.

For this reason I try to rationalize the process preparing a list of each point that gets the same type of oil, going to from thicker to the lighter, is the direction of motion. E.g. I did this for the Seiko 6R15 walk-throughout that I wrote.

I think that reduces the chances of mistakes, saves time, and helps understanding the use of the different oil types.

Anyone have a technical reference manual for a Farrari Lap Time Swiss ISA 9001/1300 movement?

From Canada

Thank you John, you saved me saying it. If I was able to lift individual posts and start a new thread I would, but unfortunately I can't. Also posting different requests within a post, makes searching for information a nightmare.
