Chronostop Xl Project Update

Hi guys, just wanted to post a few pics of my on going chronostop project. A few of you may remember me posting some pics as it arrived Anyway, I sent the dial to Vsoni in London. His work is amazing, I decided to go satin black as the batons were to far gone to reproduce the sunburst effect. I also asked for the hands to be Superlumed. Next was the case & bracelet. Luckily I have a friend who is a master polisher, trained in Switzerland. I asked for something I'd never seen on a chronostop & I absolutely love it. Loads of bling. if I have time I'll be doing a full strip, clean & service on the movement this weekend & my sexy chronostop will be completed.

I'd love your thoughts on the project so far. I only wish it had been my work, but as long as I'm contributing with the movement I'll be content with that for now.

Thanks Andy, I'm still thinking of changing the sweep second hand a different lume colour (maybe blue).

I like the case a lot ! Nice work. 

The dial is OK but the accent is the wrong way and that would bug the hell out of me ;)

If you wanted to change the Lume on the chrono hand how about orange then it would sort of be like the original brought into the 21st century

 Blue lume on the sweep hand would look good .

Very nice project. I love the way the case looks now. Blue lume on the seconds hand will make it stand out, but I wonder how it will look since everything else is green. Personally, I would either leave them all green, or all blue. That's just my opinion. I have a project in mind and I think I am going to do the markers green and the hands blue.

 

Regardless, this is a very cool project as there is something very special about bringing neglected pieces back to life. I really want to see the final product.
