I'm new!

Hey All!!

I'm so new to watches it's like a land before time....

Dad joks aside, great to be here... actually what bought me here... er, what brought me here was a latest set of purchase.

I picked up 2 automatic 70's Vintage Timex Divers with orange stripe from France.  One has a French "Metres" on the dial. Both keep time.

And, a 38mm G Monnin divers case NOS...I figured I try my hand at putting something fun together.  O&W, Heuer...?

I hope you don't mind me picking your collective brains. 

Oh..Im in Toronto.

Funny you should notice ... were there options for the color of it? Is black available? I would like to replace the missing one. 

Both work well thus far. I like the one with the French lettering on the dial as I assume it's unique for North America market? 

I've been wearing a solar seiko chrono for last 10 yrs and it's 43mm.. these watches feel so light and small. Lol! Something to get used to. 

Is there a particular history of these watches? Purpose of the orange stripe?
