Hi everyone

Delighted to join.  I wore a quartz Omega seamaster for 30 years prior to getting into smart watches for 5 years, before dumping that and getting into mechanical watches over the last 3 years.  Just started to get into the hobby with some modding planned and then into something more involved.  Found this site when searching about how to remove a stem from a 1337 movement (thread on that coming) - as the crown has come off my Omega quartz and looking to remove the stem to the see if some loctite fixes the problem.

Anyway, now away to read lots of threads about tool recommendations for a starter 🙂

Many thanks for such a warm welcome (and the useful docs on terms and tools). Lovely little packages arriving in the post each day with various tools and watch parts, which is exciting in itself!
