Longcase clock by Moore of Warrington with painted dial 30 Hour with swan neck pediment

Hi Black- and Locksmiths, Clock- and Watchmakers,

This clock is for sale on an auction happening tomorrow. I only have the description i put into the title and these two pics. Any advise about the price and the clock based on this?

I have see some of these huys priced at 1,200£ and above. There is an antique shop 30 miles from me who has several not one under a grand.

I can't give much advise on just these photos. What I can tell you is the style of dial I would say its around the 1780's . The bottom of the trunk (base) has a crack in it normally due to shrinkage.  The second hand is not right. I can see daylight through the hood in the first photo, so something is wrong there.  Looking at the hood and the dial to me the dial doesn't fit proper. From what I see it could be a marriage. This is when a dial and movement are put into another case, both never started out as one.

Forgot to say that it went for £100.

If that is all it went for there must have been a lot wrong with it.
