After a long time of watching repair channels on youtube I decided to give it a shot and buy a cheap movement and some tools. Thanks to all the amazing knowledge shared everywhere this was a success and I've managed to clean and service a few old watches since with minor casualties. Only a shockspring has permanently joined the swiss space program so far.

Special shoutout to the watch cleaning videos from the chronoglide channel, which explained that you only need a piece of wood, brush and patience to start out cleaning movements.
