All in . . . apparently . . .

Hi everyone,

Brand new to watch repair as a hobby, but what was a vague interest has been kindled into action after watching two weeks worth of Mark's (Watch Repair Channel) and Marshall's (Wristwatch Revival) alluring videos.

I have my desk set up with some basics, again thanks to the advice of Mark and Marshall, and have already broken my first perfectly serviceable watch with my less than capable hands.  I've mangled the hairspring ( I think it was a bit jenky before I touched it) and lost what seems like some 50% of the screws to what I have learned are surprisingly deep crevices in the low-profile carpeting---but I persevere and count it as part my watch repair curriculum to restore this to the barely functioning condition it was in when I first found it.

Looking forward  to future shipments of watch carcasses to break (and eventually fix) and to sharing this wonderful new interest with you all.

But now its time for my Scotch as I browse Watch Repair Talk.

Cheers from San Diego.

Eric
