Looking for information on valuing and possibly selling 3 old pocket watches

Recommended Posts

I inherited these from my father. The oldest of the pocket watches has been dated to 1790's with a Scottish made case from the same era. It does not run and has a broken timing chain. The others are slightly newer. Does anyone know how I could get these valued and where to sell. While old these watches are all project watches as none work, they do not have cosmetic damage.

There is no hard and fast price on watches, Yours sound like fusee most likley lever escapement.   I have seen them go for as little as £10 it depends on the maker, a lot of these movements turn up quite cheap with the cases removed as it was the case where the money was years ago and the silver was weighed in for scrap so the answer is  as much as some one will pay for them. Unless they have any great  provenance.
