New Swede over here!

Recommended Posts

Hi there! I'm new to the hobby, though my dad was an avid collector of pocket watches for many years, unfortunately I sold probably 90% of his collection after he died. Now I'm taking my first careful steps into it myself after itching to do something practical with my hands as I await to open my own metal and woodworking workshop.

I refound the hobby due to binging videos from the Wristwatch Revival channel on YouTube, and felt like it would be interesting to take a crack at all this myself. I also run the Switch & Lever YouTube channel, where I do all sorts of projects in wood, metal, 3d printing, programming, electronics and much much more. Not going to drop a link, as I don't want it to be seen as spamming, but it's easy to find with google 🙂

Hope to learn a lot from all of you! I'm about to post a watch I just picked up at a flea market today, to seek some helpful tips and tricks on how to go about it, and how to identify the movement.

All the best!
