Repair A Omega Quartz 1310 Movement ?

It must be in series arrangement with the motor connection.

When it does not work dan you have to turn the diode.

The current flow is oneway.

When  i search the net the color code for a diode is almost the same as for a resistor ? I will do like Omega service did . Same operation . Cut the negative side and let i go through the diode and in the circuit again .

I will order a pair of those. And see how they work? 

 

I really don't know what's the mechanism. A germanium slice with a piece of silver foil? I wil ask a friend who is active on an elektronics platform (www.circuitsonline.net).

So I have two links with some additional information about the Accucells irst link it's at the bottom of the page. Second link is from the person who is selling these

Then a slightly different link mercury batteries were just a problem for watches their problem for other things. So you read all the way through this or skim through it they do talk about the diodes  it might be possible adapt one of their diodes release give you a clue as to what you're looking for.

Then  the original one of these my understanding was they use the resistor to drop the voltage later ones use a Diode. Then the link below  is a picture of the internal construction.

Wonder a little over this battery . Is it a one time only use battery? Or do i just drop in a new battery in a spacer . If i need to buy one of this every time it would be cheaper to buy a germanium diod?

Have finally read almost everything . Very interesting but i hate reading so much at once. I will try first with a hearing aid battery. As they have a lower voltage then a silver oxide battery . To see if the movement work at all?  If it does a may try to build an adapter or rebuild the movement with a schottky diode . The 1N4148 germanium diode is small enough to be placed next to the IC-curcuit .

Hi the link doesn't work anymore, Omega is becoming less friendly to independent's, I hear. Does anyone have another link to this pdf?  Also is there an alternate serial number checker now that Omega's has gone away?

I'm not sure you have the proper wording of Omega is less friendly to independence? There is a link below notice they can't get Omega parts anymore basically none of the material houses can. But what's strange is Omega has training courses for independent watchmaker's. I know a watchmaker who took the course all he had to do was get there I believe the course was free but I really need to check with him. So he was really impressed he goes to the class completes the class and now has access to Omega parts.   So at least for now there's somewhat more friendly you just have to go to a class versus spending tens of thousands of dollars remodeling your shop buying exotic equipment and probably still not getting an account because.
