Hello from The Netherlands

Recommended Posts

Hi there, My name is Rien,(pronounced as reen) and I am new to the Whole watch repairing scene. I've always loved watches, but never knew much about them. But trough te magic of the internet I stumbled on some watch repair video's, and got hooked. At the moment I am slowly gathering the right tools for the job, and partly disassembled my first pocketwatch. I also bought my first automatic wristwatch, which I bought with the intention to service, but I am wearing it daily now, since the feeling of something that complicated en precise on my wrist is just nice. I am now affraid to work on it, since I am affraid to break it. ( It only has cost me 10 Euros, but I'm smitten ) One day, when I'm feeling more comfortable, I will do it. And thanks for letting me join this forum.

Welcome!

Ive done plenty of damage during my self-taught process. Either you pay for proper instruction, or you buy a lot of watches!

Either way, no free lunch.

Now I’m comfortable with most automatic movements but no chronograph yet.
