Help!

Given an Armani as a retirement, only a year old and I broke it! Hammer fell on the front and smashed the glass.

Do I have to go in through the back, remove the movement, then push the glass and retaining ring, or will it pop out with insertion leverage from the front?

thanks in advance Mel

Removing the quartz module is needed to replace flat crystals. Since a crystal press and set of dies are needed to do it the proper way y, I recommed that you bring it to a watch shop to do the work. Some of the places where they change batteries are equipped fo that.

Hi Iam inclined to agree with jdm that the best avenue is to take it to a shop, If you are not equipd to remove the case back and have a glass press to put the new one in  a DIY approach could be costly, Also they may be shards of glass dust in the watch which may cause further damage if not removed.           cheers

Thanks for the quick reply -- and the advice! Was a little daunted as it is special to me, so I think the best course - as you say, is to take it in  and bite the bullet really.

Thanks very much to you both
