Hi

Can any one tell me about a watch i have inherited.

Its a purse watch.

Its art deco in style and appears to be 1930s in style.It had a scrap of paper inside date 1940.

The make is belrus Not 'belarus or benrus' but belrus.

I can find no details for this maker any were on the internet.

I have contacted a watch museum in liverpool and they can only come up with belarus and luch which is not the make i have.

So just on a long shot i thought i would ask here and see if anyone else has come across this make.

I think we need to see some good, closeup pictures of the watch and its mechanism.

You may end up having the same dial restored, painted or decal so on.

Hi as stated , for identification purposes a picture is always favorite,   Dial front and back and one with back removed to see the movement, Check under the balance for any makers marks and numbers.
