Got another aircraft clock coming

As Ebay will get 10% more expensive for me after the 1st of July with GST being added to all our purchases in Australia I have been doing a bit of a shopping spree.

A book I have been wanting for some time I finally caved on.

British Military Timepieces by Knirim, Konrad as I already have Miltary Timepieces by Whitney which covers USA made military timepieces and I have been wanting one covering British made ones and I then also purchased Longines-Wittnauer A11 clock.

The price was fair, not cheap, but fair, it helped that ebay gave me a $10 US voucher which I used to lower what I paid.

I fully expect it doesn't run but I'm hoping it just needs a clean and service, but we will see when it arrives.

Ebay US hasn't ever been a good place for foreign buyers anyway. Too many sellers insisting on "US only", if not "lower 48s". Or pay the craziness of their "Global Shipping" program. Much better to be on the various forums, gain a bit of reputation, and deal there only. With few exceptions (got great micro-O-rings from Aussie sellers) I'd rather buy on Craigslists or Gumtree.

If that’s Radium on the dial then please take suitable precautions. It’s now recommended that you also ventilate well due to radon gas.

It will be Radium. Easy to deal with on the hands, not so much on the dial.
