Is this for watchmaking?

Seller claims it's for watchmakers. But can't see how one should work under there? Or maybe for something special like lathe work.

Some people use microscopes in watchmaking so I suppose it could be used for that. I don’t think it’s been purposely built for that. I think the makers are more famous for making optical devices then making watchmakers tools.

It's no ordinary microscope Roger, it has been made for a specialist application................but what?

I use a microscope a lot but the one shown is no good for watch making/repair. You need one that is on an extended post so you can work/fiddle with the movement while looking.

This is not my microscope but shows what is required (in my opinion that is)
